SRINAGAR, Mar 30: The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) today revoked the recognition of a private school in Budgam due to its failure to cooperate and implement orders from competent authorities.
In an order issued by the Director, School Education Kashmir, it was stated that the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Budgam had informed that the enquiry committee, formed by him, approached the school management to ascertain the factual position.
However, it was stated, the school management kept the enquiry officers, along with the CEO Budgam, waiting from 10 am to 5:30 pm on February 24, 2024.
The CEO Budgam, it has been stated, also reported that the school management provided documents and materials that were inadequate and lacked proper seal and signature, hindering the committee’s ability to determine the factual position due to non-cooperation.
Additionally, the Principal of BHSS Budgam, serving as the departmental representative, stated that the concerned school management showed no inclination to consider or implement suggestions.
Furthermore, the school had not involved the departmental representative in any official school business, as mandated by standing norms.
Both officers recommended strict action against the Foundation World School, Mamat, Budgam, citing its repeated failure to comply with instructions from competent authorities, demonstrating an anarchist and rebellious attitude.
The DSEK expressed strong disapproval of the management’s delinquent behavior and emphasized that such actions are taken seriously.
Consequently, the recognition issued to the school has been withdrawn with immediate effect due to its persistent delinquency and non-compliance with directives.
