Srinagar, Jan 24: The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) today fired two more teachers for remaining absent from their duties even as one of the terminated teachers has remained absent for the last 19 years.
In this regard, two separate termination orders have been issued by the DSEK and the teachers who have been fired include Neelofar Jan, Teacher, Primary School Khumriyal in Kupwara and Afroza Ashraf Amin, Teacher, Higher Secondary School Nowpora, Baramulla.
Regarding, Neelofar Jan, the DSEK said that she remained unauthorizedly absent from her legitimate duties from 01.07.2002; and “the teacher did not resume her legitimate duties and continued to remain un-unauthorizedly absent for 19 years.”
Concerning another teacher, Afroza Ashraf Amin, who has also been fired, the DSEK said she remained unauthorisedly absent from her legitimate duties from 01.10.2014 and proceeded outside the country “without obtaining prior station leave permission/sanction of leave from the competent authority.”
As per the termination order, both the teachers were given ample opportunities to join their duties back.
