DSS launches human rights body, announces core committee

JAMMU, Jan 3: To contribute to the country’s growth and development, a human rights body under the name and style ‘Global Human Rights’ (GHR) was launched from Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) Jammu by Gulchain Singh Charak, chief patron of the Organization.
The Executive Core Committee of the Organization comprises of Dr Mulkh Raj Bhamagi as chairman, HR Rehman as general secretary-cum-founder, Sanjeev Singh as secretary, Mohd Amir Mughal as president (Crime Prevention), Rajesh Sharma as president (Education Department) and Philips John as president (Minority Affairs).
This was announced by Gulchain Singh Charak and others while addressing a press conference here today. They further informed that Janak Khajuria will hold the cultural wing, Gambhir Dev Charak will be chairman/president of Jammu province, Dr Ghan Sham Singh will be chairman of J&K farmers and Achav Singh will be spokesman of Jammu province. Zubair Shah will be president (Education Department) for District Reasi.
The main aim of the organization is the protection of Human Rights including right to education, health, rights of wildlife, women empowerment, etc besides spreading awareness on Government welfare schemes and act as a bridge between public and Government,” said HR Rehman.
Sanjeev Singh said that one of the objectives of the Organization is to set educational hub to provide free and compulsory education to children of underprivileged people and also organize health and awareness camps for the public.
Dr M R Bhamagi said that the Organization will set up various training centers to trained women for fighting both physically and as well as mentally and protect their human & fundamental rights.
Chief coordinator Nukesh Gupta, Rajesh Sharma, John Philps, G A Khawaja, Janak Khajuria, Achav Singh and GA Khwaja (retired DC) also attended the programme.
