DSS members chalk out prog for various activities

JAMMU, Feb 5: Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) chalked out a detailed programme of various activities for implementation at a special meeting of the Sabha held here under the chairmanship of its president and former Minister Gulchain Singh Charak today.
In the meeting, the members of intellectual group, media cell and office bearers of the Sabha participated. The Sabha president emphasized that a thorough research should be conducted for highlighting the history and culture of Dogras in the books prescribed in the educational institutions at various levels, organizing Dogra literary activities, cultural programmes, holding of Kavi Sammelans, reviving of Dogra Festivals, maximum involvement of Dogra youth in all the activities and undertake social and media activities and setting up of Dogra Sadar Sabha website.
The DSS chalked out a detailed programme for a conference on February 16 in which British MP Bob Blackman, Ms Manu Khajuria Singh, daughter of soil, who has started the “Voice of Dogras” in England and Ms Lakshmi Koul, who is heading “Kashmiri Pandits Cultural Society” in London will participate.
The intellectual cell was tasked to prepare a detailed presentation for February 16 programme at Dogra Sadar Sabha Bhawan near Ranbir Higher Secondary School. The progamme will showcase the valour, culture and contribution of Dogras in this Strategic State of J&K.
