JAMMU, Nov 29: Dogra Saddar Sabha has expressed strong resentment over the shifting of Archives to Kala Kendra.
A meeting of Executive Committee of Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) was held at Dogra Bhawan here today  under the Chairmanship of its president  Gulchain Singh Charak (former Minister).   The members strongly resented the decision of shifting the Archives and other monuments from Mubarak Mandi. They felt that the appointed committee has not taken vital aspects in consideration and thus not applied full mind on this most important matter of the Dogra heritage. They further said that the Kala Kendra is not a suitable place for the Archives and other monuments due to various reasons. The president said that the Archives and Museum is the soul of Mubarak Mandi complex and without which the historic complex will become lifeless.

The exhibition will represent a holistic picture of various historic monuments falling in different parts of Jammu region. The Sabha emphasized the urgent need of maintaining its ancient, pristine, secular character which is a living example of pluralistic society in the country.
