The memorandum read “ Ch. Lal Singh, chairman of DSSP, former MP and Minister has been placed under house arrest since 7th August 2019. His house arrest equates him to the separatists, which is highly derogatory, unbearable and against the popular sentiments of the Jammu region. Our leader is a nationalist to the core and supports the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A . It is not out of place to mention that our leader has always stood with nation and fought for cause of Jammu region. The detention has caused massive unrest across Jammu region, which may go against the national efforts to restore peace in the region”.
It further said that the Kathua Unit of DSSP demands immediate release of the party leader to restore the public faith.
