JAMMU, Mar 11: Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) today warned the Government for making any compromise on national unity and integrity and demanded that strong steps be taken to curb the voice of dissent in the Kashmir valley.
The people of the State have given a massive mandate in the Assembly elections and it is the duty of the Government to respect the sentiments of the people, VHP State patron, Dr Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here today.
He said strong steps are needed to be taken to curb the voices of dissent in Kashmir and the Government should ensure that no separatist or militant is released in future.
Dr Dubey said right from the day one after the new Government took over, the things have starting favouring anti national elements which will not be tolerated.
He also took serious exception to Pak envoy Basad Khan and Hurriyat hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani talks in Union Capital. He said Geelani is the main initiator of Masrat Alam and it is on his behest that Masrat Alam waged a war against the nation in Kashmir valley. Setting free such hard core militants on one pretext or the other will bring havoc in the country on the one hand and also prove a biggest encouragement for the marauders on the other, he added.
Dr Dubey said it is not understood that how an anti national person was allowed to have a secret discussion to an envoy of an enemy nation. Such policies will bring the situation to square one, he added.
He said Geelani and his men have never allowed peace to prevail in the Valley and it looks that the leaders at the helm are totally ignorant about the pseudo secular politicians, religious leaders, anti national and pro-Pak elements under whose pressure the State Government is working.
Dr Dubey also warned the Union Government to tighten its noose and not show any leniency towards the separatists or pseudo secular leaders. He said Geelani has created a power centre in Kashmir and Government should probe where from he is receiving such a huge funds.
