This has reference to the ‘3-day Duggar Festival’ DE Oct 26.
The organisers deserve kudos for organising this festival. The festical is a step towards promoting the rich cultural heritage of Duggar Pradesh. In this fast changing world in which modernity has replaced some of our traditional ways of life, festival of such nature will go a long way in passing over-what has remained of the past-to posterity. The festival will help the coming generations to get connected to roots, and identify themselves with it. Otherwise, the generation would find itself adrift and in vacuum. Besides, the cultural heritage is wisdom accumulated over the years by our ancestors. This wisdom, which is a great source of strength of our survival, can’t be allowed to go waste. Rather it has to be nurtured from time to time by holding such festivals.
It is therefore incumbent upon the present generation to come forward and take pledge to promote it the way they deem fit.
