‘Duggar Festival’ from Oct 25 to 27

JAMMU, Oct 19: To commemorate the martyrdom of Brigadier Rajinder Singh Jamwal, Duggar Vikas Manch is organizing three day mega event “Duggar Festival” from October 25 to 27.
This was stated by Dineshwar Singh Jamwal, president, Duggar Vikas Manch during a press conference here today. General secretary of Ex-Services League, retd Wing Commander Ganga Singh Chib, Founder member of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Advocate Shah Mohammad, vice president of Universal Foundation, Parveen Sharma, president of Brigadier Rajinder Singh Memorial Committee Rajinderpura (Bagoona), Babu Ram, Sudarshan Khajuria, Sham Lal Basson and Parshotam Thapa, working committee members of DVM and Sham Lal Basson, general secretary were also present.
Jamwal asked the Government to set up stalls at Mubarak Mandi Complex for the visitors to showcase local handicrafts and handloom products and paintings.
“We have also asked the Tourism Department to show some documentary movies during these days, depicting the stories of Dogra personalities of J&K and programmes depicting Dogra Heritage, Art and Culture”, he said, adding that various stalls of “Dogri Foods” will also be installed during the event.
He asked the Government as well as private organizations especially related with the Tourism Trade and Hotel Industry to come forward and extend their support for the success of this event.
