JAMMU, Oct 30: SKKRDA Event India and Crew Satwari organised Duggar Virsa-22 today at Ranjit College of Education Kunjwani.
On the occasion, a mega audition of 103 participants was conducted in different fields related to dogri culture. On the occasion, The Duggar Virsa anthem was released.
Former Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Advocate Purnima Sharma was chief guest of the event and Mahant Rajesh Chief Patron JK Religion Tourism and Heritage was also present. The guest of honour was Jammu and Kashmir BJP Unit Spokesperson Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia.
The participants delivered speeches, presented cultural songs and entertained the gathering by presenting skit which included marriage in Dogra culture.
While addressing the gathering, BJP Spokesperson Abhijeet Singh Jasrotia appreciated the role SKKRDA for organizing such an event for the promotion of dogri language and culture. He encouraged the participants and urged the youth to contribute towards Dogri language preservation and nation building. He stressed upon the initiatives being taken by the SKKRDA in promoting local culture.
He advocated for introduction of Dogri in the schools from the elementary level as the language had been included in the 8th schedule already.
Surinder Singh, Sonali Dogra and many others were present on the occasion.
In the end, Manmeet Singh Chairman Ranjeet College of Education presented vote of thanks.
