JAMMU, Jan 3: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina its president.
The meeting expressed concern over poor condition of drains and lanes. It said the lanes in the area lack lighting facilities.
It demanded that sweepers be deployed in areas on the basis of routine so that proper cleanliness is maintained as many drains are filled with garbage.
The meeting demanded deploying of gang men for cleaning of deep drains and alleged that several requests were made in this regard to concerned authorities but to no avail.
It also alleged that the Departmental works are hanging in balance due to non submission of estimates by concerned officers.
