Durga Nagar Committee’s concern over power cuts

JAMMU, Apr 25: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee in its meeting has expressed grave concern over the four -hour long power cut in the area which is hampering the water supply to the Durga Nagar and other localities.
In a statement issued here, today the Committee president, Roshan Lal Raina said that the four hour long power cut due to four lanning of Akhnoor road has led to the problems to the residents of Durga Nagar and adjoining localities as the power cut on the peak hour has hampered the water supply in the area.
He made an appeal to Advisor to Governor, Baseer Ahmed Khan seeking his immediate intervention in the matter. He said that the power cut for four long hours daily be reduced to two hours so that the water can be lifted for supply to the area by PHE Department.
