JAMMU, Apr 21: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee led by its president Roshan Lal Raina called on Commissioner cum Secretary CAPD here, today and apprised him of the problem of non availability of ration against cash payment to the migrant employees and pensioners of Durga Nagar area for the month of April.
Commissioner cum secretary issued directives to Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Muthi for taking immediate action in the matter.
Later the delegation called on Commissioner Transport and RTO Jammu and apprised them that the people of the area are facing problems due to lack of matador services. They informed the delegation that the issue will be settled within one week.
The delegation also met the MD SRTC who assured them that bus service to Durga Nagar will be started within week’s time. It also met the SE JDA for installing of light in the park.
