JAMMU, Apr 28: The Durga Nagar Welfare Committee representatives held a meeting with Minister of state for Revenue , Relief and Rehabilitation Nasir Aslam Wani here today and discussed the problems of the area with him.
As per a release, the issues including construction of park with shopping complex, providing of four kanals of land to Higher Secondary school Durga Nagar for construction of building, augmentation of Roop Nagar and Janipura Grid, execution of developmental works by R&B, UED and Municipal Corporation etc were discussed with the Minister.
The Committee members who were in the meeting included Roshan Lal Raina its president, Mohan Lal, Behari Lal, Bushan Lal and Rajinder Singh.
The Committee members demanded that the Government representatives should visit the area to ascertain the problems of the masses. It also demanded that migrant employees be issued new ration card at an earliest and also demanded enhancement of cash relief.
The Minister assured the delegation that the problems of the people of the area will be redressed.
