Durga Nagar residents’ delegation calls on PDD, PHE CEs

JAMMU, Aug 14: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Association led by its president, Roshan Lal Raina called on Chief Engineer, M&RE Jammu and apprised him of the problems of low voltage and frequent power cuts being faced by residents in Durga Nagar area.
The delegation informed the Chief Engineer that the R -2 Feeder is overloaded and needs immediate segregation as it results in often tripping and faults which take place for hours. The areas dependent on R -2 Feeder are facing lot of difficulty, the delegation added.
The Chief Engineer issued instructions to Executive Engineer, Division 3rd to submit proposal for its segregation.
The Chief Engineer was also informed that 200 families of Sector 3 which get power supply from Bantalab Grid Station are also facing lot of difficulties.
Later the delegation also called on Chief Engineer PHE Jammu and appealed him that the Durga Nagar be provided water supply on alternate days instead of once or twice a week.
The delegation also demanded replacement of pipe system.
It appealed M D PDD to allot the funds for installation of two one hundred K V transformers in the area.
