Durga Nagar residents’ delegation meets EEs of PDD, PHE

JAMMMU, Feb 27: A delegation of Welfare Committee Sector-01, Sector-02 and Sector-03 headed by its presidents Roshan Lal Raina and Sanjay Ganjoo met Executive Engineer, PDD and Executive Engineer, PHE and appraised them of the problems being faced by residents of Durga Nagar and Roopnagar.
The delegation demanded that the regular power supply be ensured to MU-09 and 10 Muthi Village so that water supply may not be affected during the auspicious days of Maha Shivratri starting from February 28. Fresh water supply be ensured on February 28 to shower fresh water on Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. It also requested to PDD Executive Engineer to ensure regular power supply during the auspicious days of Maha Shivratri and appealed to Chief Engineer, PDD and SE PDD to stop taking shut down during the auspicious days at Muthi Village at Feeder No 09 and 10 so that both water supply and power supply may not be hampered.
The presidents of two sectors also expressed concern that stalls were not made available in Durganagar non camp township. They urged the Relief Commissioner that from today stalls should be made available in non camp Durga Nagar township to facilitate the non camp area also.
