Durga Nagar Welfare Committee demands intervention of Lt Gov

JAMMU, Oct 7: The residents of Durga Nagar Sectors 1, 2, 3 and adjoining areas held a meeting under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina President Sector 1 and Sector 3 and Sanjay Ganjoo President Sector 2 and its extension.
In the meeting, the participants said that Kashmiri Pandits had great expectations from Home Minister Amit Shah that he will give an ear to the problems being faced by Kashmiri migrants.
“We had hope that atleast the enhancement of relief assistance would be released by HM and pending assessed cost of the gutted property may also be paid in the favour of Kashmiri Migrants, but no such announcements were made by the Home Minister”, the speakers said.
“All hopes were mixed with dust when all the problems remained stagnant”, the speakers said, adding that they were of the hope that the Home Minister will visit the camps as well as non camps to know about the problem being faced the Kashmiri pandits.
“Since Kashmiri migrants are facing many difficulties but they have trust that atleast the present dispensation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give some healing touch to their genuine problems”, the speakers said and demanded immediate intervention of Lieutenant Governor to issue order for enhancement of cash assistance without further delay. The speakers also demanded release of pending salaries of PM package employees.
The meeting was attended by Bihari Lal Raina General Secretary, CL Zutshi, Badri Nath, Bansi Lal Pandita, Bushan Lal Koul, Bharat Bushan Gosani, RL Koul, AK Koul, Ramesh Pandit General Secretary, Jawahir Lal Raina, Naresh Pandit, Durga Nath Koul, Ravinder Bhan and Sunil Raina.
