JAMMU, Feb 12: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee headed by Roshan Lal Raina its president and other members called on Minister for Urban Development Rigzin Jora and apprised him of the problems of the people in the area.
The delegation informed the Minister that due to prevailing insanitation and failure to adopt the roaster system the people in the area were facing many hardships.
The delegation demanded increase in the number of sweepers as the present number is not in a position to cater to provide services to entire ward.
The delegation alter called on Commissioner cum Secretary to Health and Medical Education and expressed concern that despite the promises a dispensary was not established in the area till date.
It demanded that the Sarwal Hospital be provided the latest facilities in diagnostics and also more doctors be posted in the hospital.
