JAMMU, July 1: A meeting of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina its president in which various issues of the displaced people were discussed.
The meeting said that 52 posts are lying in waiting list under PM Package in Education Department since 2012 and the file is rolling dust in Civil Secretariat since then. The meeting urged the Principal Secretary, Education Department Asgar Samoon to clear the file so that these candidates will get rid of mental agony.
It also demanded that the candidates in waiting list of statistical assistants be also considered and Committee made an appeal to Lt Governor and Chairperson SSRB in this regard. It demanded increasing the cash assistance to migrants in view of sky rocketing prices and announcement of special package for them. It however complimented the PDD authorities in taking keen interest in considering the power problem of Durga Nagar.
The meeting was also addressed by Behari Lal, Nana Ji, Bushan Lal , Badri Nath , Bansi Lal and others.
