JAMMU, Feb 20: A meeting of Durganagar Welfare Committee was held under the chairmanship of Roshan Lal Raina its president in which all members of the Committee participated.
The meeting sought the attention of Divisional Commissioner, and District Development Commissioner, Jammu about the delay in issuance of the Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards to the migrants. It, while demanding their intervention in the matter said that the patients suffering from chronic diseases are facing many hardships for treatment especially those families who are dependent on meager cash assistance of Rs 10,000 or 13,000 per month.
The meeting alleged that the biometric system was not adopted by the team making registration for the Ayushman cards in migrant bastis and camps with the result the data could not be fed and this way the community was totally cheated.
The meeting also sought immediate intervention of Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education, Atal Dulloo in the matter and urged him that new teams be immediately deputed in the migrant bastis including Durga Nagar to complete all formalities for framing of the Ayushman cards.
