Dutch Embassy delegates meet Secy Horticulture

SRINAGAR, Oct 5: The delegates from Dutch Embassy Wuter Werhey, Councillor Agriculture and Anand Krishnan, Deputy Councillor Agriculture today met with Secretary, Horticulture Department and discussed various issues with regard to development and promotion of horticulture sectors in the State.
Discussing issues with regard to setting up of two Centres of Excellence at Zawoora in Srinagar and Udheywala in Jammu for the development and promotion of horticulture sector through transfer of technology and human resources in the State, it was informed that the service of PUM, consultancy of Dutch Experts, was utilized for the preparation of DPRs for setting up of Centres of Excellence.
Giving brief account of the steps taken for the establishment of Centres of Excellence, it was given out that Detailed Project Reports (DPR)  of the projects have been approved by Empo-wered Monitoring Committee (EMC)  Government of India.
