LOS ANGELES, Mar 31: A music-themed mini-series by Dwayne Johnson has finally got itself an airing date and it will premiere on April 20.
The show, titled as “Soundtracks”, will be an eight-episode hour-long CNN original series, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series will discover music related to key moments in history, why it was a milestone, that ended up defining people and a whole generation.
Each part will centre around how music has played an integral role in celebrating, criticising and amplifying events in the American history.
“Soundtracks” will premiere with The Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr, wherein it will retrace how the music of the bygone era kept the spirit of the civil rights movement alive following his death. (PTI)
