SRINAGAR, Aug 19: Manoj Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary, GAD today visited ACB Headquarters at Srinagar.
Director ACB Anand Jain briefed him on the working of ACB. A PowerPoint presentation was also presented showcasing various aspects of working of Anti Corruption Bureau.
Dwivedi appreciated the working of ACB for past few months despite COVID pandemic. He emphasized that to enhance the capacity of Investigation Officers of ACB, there should be continuous training of officers by various premier investigating institutes of the country.
He also impressed upon the need of streamlining and improving of DVO mechanism so that the complaints can be disposed off expeditiously. He stressed upon the expeditious completion of investigation and inquiries conducted by ACB. He added that an online tool for the vigilance clearance is being developed to speed up vigilance clearance.
Director informed Commissioner Secretary that ACB is also using social media platform to get in touch with the citizens. Dwivedi emphasized upon use the modern technology in the field of investigation and complaint redressal by ACB. He assured all possible help from GAD for the same.
Jain said that ACB will work towards achieving zero tolerance towards corruption and harnessing modern technologies in ACB on the lines of premier investigating agencies of the country.
