Dy. Chairman LAHDC discusses issues of Daily waged labourers

Leh, August 29: Deputy Chairman LAHDC, Leh Tsering Angchuk , presided over a meeting in the conference hall of the Council Secretariat to discuss the pressing concerns faced by daily waged laborers across various departments.

The meeting was also attended by Executive Councillor for Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi, and Executive Councillor for Rural Development, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee.

The delegation of daily waged laborers, led by President Phuntsog Angchuk, highlighted several ongoing issues, particularly approval of daily wager welfare scheme from MHA. The delegation expressed the urgent need to address these grievances and conveyed their regret over a miscommunication regarding the appointment with Chief Executive Councillor Tashi Gyalson.

Deputy Chairman Tsering Angchuk assured the delegation that efforts are underway to address them promptly. He also mentioned that a meeting with Chief Executive Councillor Tashi Gyalson will be scheduled soon to discuss the workers’ needs in detail. He emphasized that the matter is being taken very seriously by the administration.
