JAMMU, Apr 28: Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand along with a senior level team of Jammu Municipal Corporation visited and inspected venue of 3rd Ashok Sodhi Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament, here today.
Print and Electronic Media Cameraman Association is organizing the event at Parade Ground. The tournament would be held from 1st to 10th May and a total of 16 teams would participate.
Commissioner, JMC K.L. Khajuria and senior officials of the Corporation were present during the visit.
While inspecting the venue, Tara Chand instructed the authorities for proper up keep of the area and provision for all required facilities at the site for the facilitation of the participating teams and organizers.
He interacted with the organizers and inquired about the status of arrangements for the event.
Remembering contributions of Late Ashok Sodhi, Deputy Chief Minister described him as pioneer of photo journalism in the State, who dared to take risks for professional excellence.
