SAMBA, Dec 16: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today inspected the ongoing work on the bus terminal at Thandi Khui in Samba district.
Being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 18.53 crore by the Public Works Department, the terminal has a capacity of accommodation for 100 buses. It would cater to the inter district, intra district buses coming from other states as well as providing a centre place to the commuters travelling to different areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
While interacting with the officials, the Deputy Chief Minister directed for speedy completion of the project while strictly adhering to the set quality parameters. He said the ambitious project is of vital importance for connectivity of Samba and other districts of Jammu division.
“Officers should ensure early completion of the bus terminal and lacuna, if any, should be redressed within the shortest possible time, so that public gets benefitted from this initiative” , he maintained.
