Dy Mayor chairs various committees meetings

JAMMU, Feb 14: Dy. Mayor, Purnima Sharma, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today chaired the Skill Upgradation and Self Employment and Housing for All Standing Committees meetings in the Conference Hall of JMC.
The members of the Standing Committees of Skill Upgradation, Self Employment and Housing for All viz Satpal Karlupia, Jaideep Sharma, Rahul Kumar, Sonika Sharma, Kapil Singh Chib, Amit Gupta, Neelam Nargotra and Sharda Kumari, Suneet Kumar, Inderjeet Kour, Pritam Singh, Jagdish Kumar and Surinder Sharma respectively attended the meetings. Secretary, Sunaina Sharma, Assistant Commissioner (R), Prem Singh representatives from Jammu Urban Development Authority (JUDA), expert from Housing Department and other senior officers of JMC were also present.
Dy. Mayor, JMC directed the concerned authorities to explore the possibilities of Skill Upgradation and Self Employment schemes so that maximum benefits of the schemes to the general public. Progress in the schemes was reviewed in the meeting. Healthy discussions were held to remove the bottlenecks in the successful implementation of schemes, to streamline the process of application, verification and approval thereof.
In the Housing for All Standing Committee meeting, the Dy. Mayor directed the concerned authorities to streamline the process of Housing for All Scheme so that maximum benefits should be given to HFA scheme to the general public. A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting to remove the bottlenecks for the implementation of the scheme. Maximum awareness programs by the concerned departments along with Councilors of the wards should be held to reach the target of Housing for All and other schemes of JUDA to the needy persons.
The members of the Standing Committees also raised a number of issues and suggestions for effective implementation of both the schemes.
Assistant Commissioner(R) and also the Member Secretary of the Standing Committees, JMC assured that every possible step will be taken for better implementation of the schemes.
Dy. Mayor assured all the members that necessary steps will be taken for smooth functioning of the Corporation and speedy disposal of the grievances of the general public.
