JAMMU, Sept 2: Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria here today inaugurated a newly constructed lane and drain in Ward number 56 at Gangyal, Sector-2. Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that the developmental work was denied for a long time but it has now seen completion which will now bring relief to the people.
“The problems like water-logging will not be there now,” he maintained adding: “In the last five years the Ward has made a lot of progress in infrastructural developments and in last few years developments related to roads, installation of new transformers, replacement of old drinking water pipes with new ones, construction of 50 bedded Gangyal Hospital etc have changed the very look of Gangyal area.”
The Dy Mayor claimed that Ward 56 has now almost become a model Ward due to cleanliness loving public of Gangyal and Ekta Vihar and officers and employees of JMC.
He said that in the last few years many works have been done in the area by JMC and many mega projects have been started.
Billawaria further said that developmental works are going on in Jammu city under Smart City project.
BJP Mandal president, Ranjit Singh, Jugal Kishore, Rakesh Sangral, Om Nath, Pankaj Singh, Surjit Kumar, Balwan Singh, Yash Pal Verma and others were also present on the occasion.
