JAMMU, May 7: Continuing the campaign to provide better development as well as basic facilities to the people of Jammu city, Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria kick started the work of lane and drain at Ward 56, Rajput Mohalla, Gangyal in RS Pura-Jammu South constituency. The work will be executed under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that this was a long pending demand of the local people and now the demand has been fulfilled. He said that this lane adjoins with the other lanes of the Ward, now with the construction of this lane, will also get relief during the rainy season. Deputy Mayor said, “We are committed to the development of Ward No 56 and ensuring that it remains a Model Ward”. He also added that the project will be completed in a time-bound manner and strict quality control measures will be implemented to ensure that the construction meets the required standards.
He further said that the JMC is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the amenities of the citizens are not compromised.
Baldev Singh Billawaria said that JMC is committed to the development of this area and we are working on various projects to ensure that the area is developed further. We are also working on beautifying the area with green spaces and parks. Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria also said that the residents of Gangyal Ward No. 56 Jammu play a major role for the development of the area and this area is very beautiful as there is no open dumping area and the public use vehicles to throw garbage in the vehicles provided by the JMC.
Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that Jammu Municipal Corporation is committed to develop all the areas in the City of Temples. The people have expressed gratitude to Deputy Mayor for starting the construction work of the lane and drain. Ranjeet Singh, Suriender Singh, Karan Singh, Vipan Verma, Rajinder Jamwal, KD Singh, Vijay Verma, Shallu, Tarsem Verma and others were present.
