JAMMU, Dec 4: Continuing the drive to provide better development as well as basic amenities to the people of Jammu, Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today started the black topping work in Ward number 1, Panjtirthi.
The work was started by the Deputy Mayor in the presence of Naresh Abrol, Kuldeep Mehta, Gopal (Nehri Galli), Sunita Wazir, Shubh Lata Sharma, Anuradha Sharma, Vijay Sharma and other local residents of the ward. The Executive Engineer, AEE and JE of R&B Department were also present.
The black topping will be done from Mubarak Mandi road to Governor House. It was the long pending demand of the locals as the road was in deteriorated condition since long due to which the residents were suffering.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Mayor said that the JMC is committed for overall development of Jammu and making it really a smart city under the guidance of Mayor Chander Mohan Sharma. She assured the locals that all their demands will be redressed on priority.
