Dy Speaker reviews arrangements for budget session

JAMMU, Feb 18: Deputy Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Mohammad Sartaj Madni, today reviewed arrangements for smooth conduct of upcoming budget session commencing from February 28 while chairing a meeting of senior civil and police functionaries.
The Deputy Speaker directed the executing agencies and Estates Department to speed up the pace of work and ensure repair and renovation besides checking bottlenecks, if any, in construction of the Assembly complex particularly in the central hall, house and VIP chambers within a week’s time.
Threadbare, discussion was held on arrangements made by the Security, Traffic, Fire Services, Hospitality and Protocol, Power Development Department, Municipality, JKTDC, Health and Medical, Information, and Floriculture Departments. Besides, a detailed deliberation was also held on issuance of entry passes, stay and provision for parking facilities for media persons.
Among others, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pradeep Gupta, ADGP, Security, Dr. Ram Lubhaya, IGP Traffic, Munir Khan, Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ghulam Hassan Tantrey, Secretary Assembly, M. Ramzan, Director General Fire and Emergency Services, Dr. G.A Bhat, District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Director Estates, R. K. Koul, Director Information, Zaffar Ahmed, Director ISM, Dr. Abdul Kabir Khan, Deputy Inspector General IRP, T. Punchok, Deputy Inspector General Traffic Jammu, Shakeel Ahmed Baig and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
