JAMMU, Oct 26:  Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh inaugurated the Pandit Prem Nath  Dogra Chowk  Rotary  here today.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Member Legislative Assembly Jammu East Rajesh Gupta and Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Dr Manmohan Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nirmal Singh congratulated the JMC for ensuring completion of the rotary within a short span of 20 days and said that being a vital rotary in the heart of the city it shall add to the beauty of the winter capital. This   will also work towards making the city cleaner as the project includes revamping of the drainage system under the rotary.
Dr Singh said that various developmental works are underway in Jammu aimed at providing better amenities to the people and developing places of tourist attraction.
He called upon the people to emulate the bravery of such personalities from the State who sacrificed their lives for the integrity and unity of the country.
He also appreciated MLA Rajesh Gupta for dedicating Rs 20 lakh out of   his Constituency Development Fund for the project.
Officers from various departments and people in large numbers were present on the occasion.
