DYF plea to Governor, SSRB Chairperson

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Jan 15: A meeting of All J&K Displaced Youth Forum (DYF) was held under the chairmanship of Sanjay Koul in which an appeal was made to Governor of the State and Chairperson SSRB for early release of pending lists of teachers, lab assistants and lab technicians under the PM package.
The meeting said that deferring the release of list has generated a lot of resentment among the displaced youth form Valley who are fighting for the same for last over six years.
Kaul said that PM package has already spoiled the career of displaced youth as majority of them have become over-aged are in great desperation due to delay in implementation of PM’s employment package over these years.
Deepak Jad highlighted various flaws in the rules made under PM package and said that out of 3000 posts advertised in 2009 only 1440 were appointed and posted in Valley in different departments and rest 1560 remained unfilled for a long time due to the flaws. These posts were readvertized in year 2012 by SSRB and the amendment of the act was made to give the benefit to displaced youth and fill up the remaining posts. But unfortunately the list of selected candidates under this advertisement notification has not been released till date.
The Forum has sought personnel intervention of the Governor in the matter so that the PM package serves the basis purpose for which it was announced.
