UDHAMPUR, Apr 18: District Development Commis-sioner (DDC), Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar in presence of Under Secretary, to Government of India (GoI) Revenue Department, did e-inauguration of 200 toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin, of block Udhampur, from the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex, here this morning.
The DDC also interacted with the people of different Panchayats of block Udhampur through mobile video calling. He said that cleanliness is the subject which directly connects with our culture as our ancestors believed that prosperity comes where cleanliness is next to godliness exists.
He called upon the people of the district to cooperate with district administration and extend full support to make the district open defecation free. He asked the people to change their mindset towards cleanliness. He said if we keep our surroundings clean, our city and district would become clean.
The whole online arrangements were done by Block Development Officer, with coordination of NIC Udhampur. During the process, staff of Block Udhampur was standing at different locations with beneficiaries and they were connected through their mobiles to one place; that is conference hall of DC Office Udhampur.
Among others, Additional District Development Commi-ssioner, Arvind Sharma, Additional Deputy Commis-sioner, Krishan Lal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Angrez Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Subash Dogra, District Informatics Officer, Anil Sharma, Block Development Officer, Rupali Vaid, besides district officers/ officials of different departments, were present on the occasion.
