LEH, Nov 29: EC Education LAHDC, Leh Konchok Stanzin on the last day of his three days tour to Tangtse and Chuchul constituencies visited Barma, Kherapullu, Chibra and Tharuk village today and had detailed interaction with the people of these villages about their demands. Besides, he also assessed the ongoing developmental activities in these villages.
At village Barma, EC Konchok inaugurated Community Facilitation Center and advised the people to utilize the Center for social based events. He assured to complete all the demands presented by the villagers. He also assured to the people of Kherapullu to complete their genuine demands in a short time frame.
At Sato, EC Konchok inaugurated a newly built Women Craft Center and said that the centre would play a vital role in promoting the traditional craft of this region which has unique values and looks. He said that this center will further create employment and income opportunities for unemployed women.
To boost education status in the area, Konchok also held a meeting with the teaching and non teaching staff of High School Sato where EC enquired about the past and present status of academic and assured to provide all required facilities demanded by the staff members at HS Sato.
Addressing the gathering at Chibra EC Konchok, said that the purpose of conducting this tour was to review the ongoing developmental work and to take stock of the status of winter stocking in these area. Similar meeting was also convened with the teaching and non teaching staff of Higher Secondary School Tharuk and discussed in detail about the future developmental plan of this school.
Earlier, EC Konchok Stanzin visited the village of Shayok, Durbuk Mor, Pholonglay, Chilam, Yerath, Shachukul, Tharuk, Tangtse and Mukleb. He also visited the villages of Yourgo, Spangmik, Maan, Merak, Khatet, and Chuchul.
He convened public meetings with the villagers of Yourgo, Phobrang and Lukung and inaugurated the community hall, ration Store, staff quarter, Community facilitation Centre of Sheep and PPP at these places. Stanzin also inaugurated the Medical Sub Center and ration Store at Spangmik. Similarly at Mekak, EC Konchok inaugurated the Women Craft Centre and ice hockey ring. At Khatet, a Ration Store was also inaugurated by Konchok. At Chushul, EC Education inaugurated a dressing room for Ice Hockey, pavilion stand and Ice Hockey rink, a women craft centre, a women gathering centre, cricket ground and public gathering centre.
