Addressing a press conference here today, founder chairman of DSSP and former MP Choudhary Lal Singh said, “The statement of the State EC has caused uncertainty in the already deplorable conditions wherein they are talking of giving voting rights to the outsiders. Most of the resources including industry, tourism, business, jobs and land of Jammu province are already captured today by the outsiders and all the key positions in the administration have been occupied by the outsiders. Now, this statement of giving voting rights to all the outsiders in the Assembly elections is an attempt to disempowering the people of this part of the country.”
He said it is very unfortunate that people of Jammu province, who have been suffering for the last 75 years because of the Kashmir dominant Governments, was again put to suffer by keeping it with Kashmir. The former MP said that his party is on the roads and is only a party which has support from every nook and corner of Jammu province irrespective of any caste, creed and religion.
“The people of Jammu province cannot afford any more to be the part of that laboratory where every new experiment to bring normalcy in Kashmir is done at the cost of Jammu, and hence appeal the PM to declare Jammu as a separate state and give protection to the people of Jammu of their land, jobs and identity under Article 371 as it has been done in many states including Gujrat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, etc,” he added.
General Secretary of DSSP Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, Prof HR Sharma, KD Singh, Balbir Singh, Suman Wazir, Advocate Vikrant Sharma, Raju Pahalwan, Divyansh Verma, Raghav Khajuria and many other senior leaders of the Party were present in the press conference.
