JAMMU, Feb 15: Ex-Central Para-Military Forces (ECPMF) Welfare Association today highlighted its demands including framing of separate Armed Forces Service and Pension Rules.
Addressing the media persons, Shashi Kumar Sharma, president of the Association, appealed Union Home Ministry to consider their demand of framing separate Armed Forces Service and Pension Rules instead of CCS Rules, besides exempting Ex-Central Para-Military personnel from New Pension Scheme, implementation of One Rank-One Pension and extension of all post retirement benefits on declaration of Ex-Central Para-Military Forces status similar to defense forces ex-servicemen/widows and their dependents.
Sharma further reiterated the demand of compassionate appointment for deceased and dependents who died/disabled/went missing while on duty at their respective states, reservation of 2 % quota for the wards of the CRPF, BSF, ITBP and SSB in J&K Government jobs and educational institutions, formation of statuary Paramilitary Welfare Board similar to Kendriya/Rajya Sainik Board, appointment of high level committee headed by a retired judge to study and recommend the entire problems faced by Central Para-Military Forces (serving/retired) personnel by making appropriate act, rules and regulations through appropriate platform.
Others who present in the press conference were Darshan Kumar Chauhan (general secretary of the Association), Noor Mohd, Yash Paul, K S Bist, Harbans Lal and Chamil Singh.
