DODA, Aug 6: Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB), Branch Doda, in collaboration with NABARD conducted a financial literacy camp at a remote village of the district, Nai Dangri.
The camp was attended by DDM, NABARD, Rajesh Badyal, Regional Manager, EDB, MA Bhat, Branch Manager, Sunil Bhat besides SBI RSETI representative, FR Munshi, Sarpanch Rewarda, Surinder Kumar and a good number of villagers.
While speaking on the occasion, DDM NABARD threw light on a host of financial schemes designed to uplift the condition of rural poor.
Regional Manager, EDB, while speaking on the occasion emphasized upon the villagers to take benefit of so many tailor made schemes offered by the Bank to its rural clientele.
SBI RSETI representative, Mr Munshi, offered a free of cost group training programme for rural artisans.
During the camp, about 25 fresh saving accounts were opened and passbooks provided to the beneficiaries.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Branch Manager, Sunil Bhat.
