UDHAMPUR, June 1: Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB), Udhampur Branch, conducted Kissan Credit Card (KCC) Mela at Village Jib here today. The objective of the camp was to synchronize it with providing financial access and providing of loans with much transparency, speed and simplified process.
Besides villagers, Bank Officials, DDM NABARD and Sarpanchs of the area attended the Mela, which was held under the chairmanship of A K Razdan, chairman of the Bank.
In his address, Razdan requested the farmers to come in a big way for availing KCC loans at concessional rates of interest with minimum formalities. He also disclosed that the Bank for the convenience of the farmers has devised a simplified loan application cum documentation set and for loans upto 1.5 lakh where no stamp duty is required. In the camp a large number cases of KCC were sanctioned and loans disbursed on spot. On the demand of the villagers Razdan issued instructions for issuance of ATM cards to the villagers on priority basis.
B L Bhat, Regional Manager, Jammu, who also was present in the Mela explained various other schemes for which the Bank is providing loans to farmers.
