JAMMU, Oct 29: All J&K Electric Department Linemen and Workers’ Union (EDLWU) today discussed their demands in a meeting held here at Rani Park under the chairmanship of union president, Tara Chand.
While addressing Tara Chand appealed the Chief Engineer, Electrical, Maintenance and RE Wing, Jammu, for implementation of SRO 381 in letter and spirit. He also appealed for timely conducting of DPCs for according promotions to the deserving employees.
An appeal was also made for removing the pay anomaly in clerical cadres for the best interest of the employees of the department. The speakers also urged the Government to regularize all daily wagers of the who have completed seven years of continuous services in the department.
Vijay Gupta, Girdhari Lal, Anil Singh, Kartar Nath, Surinder Kumar and many others were present in the meeting.
