JAMMU, Sept 17: An Educational-cum-motivational tour comprising of 23 students and two teachers hailing from the remote areas of Akhnoor District to Dehradun and Mussorie (Uttarakhand) was flagged in today in an elegant ceremony held at Akhnoor.
The aim of the educational tour was to give an exposure to young children about developments taking place in rest of the country and to introduce them to the diverse culture, people and avenues of opportunity open.
During the tour, the students got an opportunity to visit Dehradun and surrounding areas of Mussorie and Haridwar. The prominent locations that were visited by the students are Raj Bhawan, Indian Military Academy (IMA), Forest Research Institute (FRI), RIMC Dehradun, Survey of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration Mussorie as also Assan Barrage, Malsi Deer Park, Gun Hills, Lachhiwala and Kampti Falls.
