Educational institutions celebrate Christmas with fervour

JAMMU, Dec 25: Christmas was today celebrated with great fervor by various educational institutions across Jammu region.
A function to celebrate Christmas was held at Bhargava Degree College, Samba. The programme began with lighting of the ceremonial lamp, which was followed by welcome song, drama on the birth of Jesus Christ, bollywood dance and Bhangra.
A grand function was organized in the premises of Indira-Sagar Secondary School, Rajpura Mangotrian (Jammu) in connection with Christmas. The entire school was decorated with balloons, buntings and flowers. Clad in red and white dresses, the students participated in colourful activities and share sweets with each other.
The students of the Junior wing of Model Academy celebrated Christmas with great fervour and enthusiasm. The school was decorated in the spirit of Christmas and the teachers as well as students participated in a number of activities. The students of class 1st and 2nd also presented a small cultural programme.
Christmas carnival was celebrated in the campus of BSK High School, Domana. The students presented a bunch of colourful programmes like Ball Room Dance, Christmas Carols and a play on the birth of Jesus for Slum kids with their parents (as special guests).
The birthday of Lord Jesus was celebrated with great fervour and zeal by the staff and students of Vishu Public School, Harinagar, Old Janipur. The function started with Sarswati Vandana followed by a cultural programme presented by the students. In the end, cakes and toffees were distributed among the students and staff.
Scientia International School, Bantalab organized Christmas Carnival with great joy and fervour. All the students enjoyed along with their parents. Many fun making activities like games, camel rides and dances were organized. Tambola and Camel Riding was central attraction for parents and students.
