JAMMU, Jan 23: Various educational institutions celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.
G.D Goenka Public School Jammu celebrated Republic Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm in school premises. The function started with a speech by Hemani Vaid. A cultural bonanza of group dances and traditional bhangra was performed depicting the joy of freedom and unity in diversity. Junior students revived the memories of ‘Struggle for freedom’. Principal of the school, Dr RP Singh gave a message of fraternity, equality and putting the best efforts in work and to take care of oneself of our country. Keeping in mind the global perceptive, the function culminated with the singing of the National Anthem.
KIDZEE-Pre School celebrated Republic Day at its branches–Bohri, Gandhi Nagar, Channi Himmat and Talab Tillo with great enthusiasm. The celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag. The kids actively participated in dance, drill and showered flowers on the tri-colour flag. A special assembly was also conducted in which they were given demonstration regarding this National festival. The toddlers were dressed up as different freedom fighters. All the toddlers were honoured with tri-coloured badges in order to develop the spirit of patriotism. In the end, sweets were distributed among all the participants.
