JAMMU, Mar 14: An educational outreach programme organised by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) was held here today.
The programme cum workshop was a part of its Educational Outreach programme with MoU Institutions in which the officers of BIS participated.
During the workshop, aspects on Overview of BIS & Standardization ecosystem in the country, Role of research projects in standards formulation, Digital initiatives of BIS including joining BIS as a member of technical committee, Proposals on new standards, Guidelines on Research and Development Projects by BIS, Terms of References were discussed in detail.
Sohan Lal, Registrar, GCET Jammu and approx 50 faculty and research scholars across different disciplines of GCET Jammu attended the programme with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Among others who were present during the workshop included, Pankaj Atri, Devansh Deolekar, Rajesh Choudhary, Neeraj Kushwaha, Hawelikar Dushyant Satyaprem and Pushpendra Kumar.
