JAMMU, Feb 7: EDUSAT HUB Jammu, GCW Gandhi Nagar introduced maiden Lecture Series on Civil Services and other competitive examinations from March 2, 2020 to motivate students for these examinations.
On the inaugural session, Dr. Ravinder Tickoo, Principal GCW Gandhi Nagar was the chief guest and he declared the lecture series open.
He emphasised that this series will help in developing a sense of innovation and motivation in them apart from their regular curriculum in the College.
R.C Kotwal, SSP PCR Jammu; Pradeep Dutta, Senior Editor, Times Now; Dr. Farah Anjum, Chief Accounts Officer and Mohd. Arshad Noomani, Functional Manager DIC Jammu were the resource persons for the Lecture Series in the first phase.
R.C Kotwal discussed about women security, self defence and drug menace.
Dr. Farah Anjum in her motivational lecture asked girls to stay confident and develop a sense of responsibility.
Mohd. Arshad Noomani guided the students about the pattern and books for civil services examinations.
On day 2 (March 7, 2020) Pradeep Dutta, Senior Editor was the resource person who spoke on the topic- Strong Foundation, Strong Nation.
Dr. Nidhi Suri, Organising Secretary carried out the proceedings of lecture series.
Dr. Neha Sharma, Dr. Javaid Iqbal, Prof. Jasneet, Prof. Sugandha Mahajan, Prof. Mohd Imran and Prof. Meenakshi Sharma were Programme Coordinators. Senior Faculty Members Prof. Sudhanshu Sharma, Dr. Meeru Abrol and large number of students were also present.
