JAMMU, Jan 17: Dr Banarsi Lal, Incharge and Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been selected for ‘Best Scientist Award’ in the EET CRS Top List-2018 Awards category result of which was declared recently.
The award will be conferred to him during the award ceremony to be held on January 27 at Noida. These awards are sponsored by the Education Expo TV College Rating System (EET CRS) which is the leading research and branding independent organization of India.
Dr Banarsi hails from Kathua district of J&K and is the only scientist from J&K who has been selected in the 7 selected scientists of the country. He was selected for the award on the basis of his research papers, books, book chapters, popular articles, case studies, Radio/TV talks and consultancy projects undertaken for the welfare of the farming community residing in the hilly areas of Udhampur and Reasi district of J&K.
