UDHAMPUR, Apr 10: Eight-day long Bi-Annual “Yog Sadhana Saral Shivir” of Mahatma Rasila Ram Vedic Vanprasthashram and Gurukul began today at village Hartryan in tehsil Garhi.
The programme started with ‘Agnihotra’ followed by flag hoisting, which was done by chief guest, SD Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu. Speaker of J&K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, was the guest of honour.
In his welcome address, Bharat Bhushan Anand, president of the Trust, apprised the guests about the activities of the Ashram. He informed that under the guidance of its Director and chief pattern Mahatma Chaitnya Muni Ji, Ashram is providing free residential facility and education to the needy and poor students from remote areas of J&K State, running a Gowshala and a free Dispensary.
In his address, Kavinder Gupta, expressed his high regards for the great Statesman, Maharishi Dayanand Sarswati, the staunch supporter of Vedic Philosphy and founder of Arya Samaj, who had even sacrificed his life for the noble cause.
Mahatma Chaitnya Muni Ji bestowed his blessings to both the chief guest and the guest of honour.
