Eight hurt in road mishap

SAMBA, June 13:  Eight people were injured in a road accident at Main Chowk Samba today when a load carrier was hit by a truck which was on its way from Kathua to Jammu.
According to reports the load carrier bearing number JK02P -4058 which while crossing the Main Chowk at Samba was hit by a truck bearing number PB 05Q-9896 which was on its way from Kathua to Jammu resulting into injuries to eight people. Out of them the two seriously injured people were referred to GMC Jammu for treatment while others were admitted in District Hospital Samba.
Samba police has registered a case in this connection and both the vehicles were seized.
The injured were identified as Bharat Bushan, son of Gian Chand of Chak Faquira, Gurdas Chand, son of Chindu Ram also of Chak Faquira, Ramesh Lal, S/o Gian Chand of Chack Faquira, Satnam Singh S/o Suram Singh, Parbhat Singh S/o Jankaar Singh, Surinder Kumar, S/o Kartar Chand  and Karanjit Singh all residents of Amritsar, Punjab.
