POONCH, Apr 2: Eight persons were injured today when a vehicle in which they were traveling met with an accident in Mendhar area.
According to the reports, a Maruti Eeco vehicle bearing registration number JK12B-7401 met with an accident at Gursai Harmutta area of Mendhar, resulting into blunt injuries to eight persons travelling in the vehicle.
The injured persons identified as Zikra Bi (40) of Surhotti, Yasmeen Shabnam (20) of Gursai, Tazeem Akhter (40) of Surhotti, Shaida Kouser (26) wife of Sageer Ahmed of Gursai, Sajid Ahmed (15) of Surhotti, Imtiaz Ahmed (17) of Surhotti, Umar Hayat (17) of Surhooti and Mohd Rashid (50) of Bihar (at present living in Harni area), were immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital, Mendhar, where they were reportedly stable and under observation of doctors.
The concerned Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
