Eight injured as mini-bus turns turtle

JAMMU, May 12: Eight persons were injured when a speeding mini-bus turned turtle in Chatta area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, on the intervening night of May 11 and 12, a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AQ-8764 carrying ‘baratis’ turned turtle at Chattha falling under the jurisdiction of police post Gadigarh. He said that eight persons were injured in the mishap and all of them were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
The injured were identified as Sukhdev (40) son of Prithvi Ram of Makhanpur (Bishnah), his wife namely Sukhdevi, Samitri Devi (64) wife of Sai Dass of Sangani (Akhnoor), Poli Devi (35) wife of Dharam Raj of Sangani, Ashu (32) wife of Harbans Lal of RS Pura, Neha (34) wife of Narinder Kumar of Dumi Malpur (Akhnoor), Kamlesh Devi (40) wife of Tarsem Lal of Malah (Akhnoor) and Riya Verma (12) daughter of Harbans Lal, resident of Pargwal.
The concerned police had registered a case in this connection and started investigations.
